Subscriptions

Use subscription records for recurring charges such as streaming services, software, cloud hosting, memberships, domains, or any service you want to track.

Add a subscription

  1. Click Add subscription.
  2. Enter the subscription name.
  3. Choose a category or add a new category.
  4. Enter the amount and currency.
  5. Choose the billing period: monthly, yearly, or custom.
  6. Enter the next renewal date.
  7. Choose whether renewal notifications are enabled for this subscription.
  8. Save the subscription.
The next renewal date is the schedule’s authoritative date. The app advances it automatically while preserving the billing rule.

Billing periods

Monthly is a calendar schedule

Monthly billing does not mean a fixed 30-day interval. It renews on the same calendar day each month, so a cycle can contain 28, 29, 30, or 31 days. A subscription anchored to the 21st continues on the 21st of every month. For dates that do not exist in a short month, the app temporarily uses that month’s final day and then returns to the original date. For example:
If a service charges every 30 days instead of on a fixed calendar date, choose Custom and enter 30. Its renewal date can move between months. For other custom periods, enter the interval in days. For example, use 45 for a charge that repeats every 45 days.

Edit a subscription

Open a subscription from the list, then choose edit. You can change the name, category, amount, currency, billing period, next renewal date, custom interval, and notification setting. Changing the next renewal date also updates the monthly calendar anchor used for future renewals.

Filter and sort

Use the dashboard controls to:
  • Switch between monthly and yearly totals.
  • Change the base currency.
  • Filter by category.
  • Sort by amount, name, category, next payment date, or creation date.
  • Toggle ascending or descending order.

Delete a subscription

Open a subscription and choose delete when you no longer want to track it. Deleting removes the record from your list. If you are using the public API, cancellation and pause can preserve history. In the app UI, delete is the visible removal action.
